| Michael grew up in Colorado Springs and recently moved back to the state to join DJA after a six year tenure at Northeastern University where he completed both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in architecture. While attending NU Michael participated in the unique co-op program offering opportunities to intern for such firms as Skidmore Owings and Merril in New York. Michael traveled through Italy and Western Europe for four months studying architecture and sketching greatly influencing his studio designs. Recently Michael’s thesis project was selected as one of few projects to be featured at the 2008 AIA convention as part of the Future of Boston Design Competition. Integrated design, and design theory are two areas of architecture Michael is focused on pursuing. While not at the office Michael enjoys many outdoor activities to include skiing and rock climbing.
