| As the backbone of the company, the architectural services have historically focused around residential design, with a deep rooted effort of providing our clients unparalleled personal attention in realizing their visions in an efficient and cost effective manner. DJA has always prided itself in offering ‘big firm’ services with the intimate design experience of a ‘small firm’ atmosphere. Likewise, the firm has always encouraged our clients to expect a level of accessibility and hands-on approach to their endeavor that is unmatched by other design studios – a merit still emphasized and embodied today by the principals and every DJA employee. In the more recent years, DJA has had the opportunity to take on larger and more complex design projects including mixed-use, commercial and multifamily developments. Working in and beyond the Aspen and Roaring Fork Valley region has been a welcomed experience and has allowed the firm to continue to grow and apply our skills and design abilities in different contexts. In doing so, we have assembled a team of accomplished designers to handle the diverse scope of challenges that any new project may present, regardless of scale. In coordination with our new urban design and planning branch, DJA is capable of carrying out an integrated design approach ranging from raw land master planned and designed communities, through dense urban infill developments. Each new opportunity has been met with the firms remaining underlying commitment – to affect a highly efficient and integrated approach to creating livable and sustainable projects that satisfy each client’s vision and expectations. Our industry is in the midst of a green revolution. We at DJA have always recognized that fundamentally good design is inherently green design. What this new chapter in the design profession has offered is a more direct opportunity for our firm to highlight and exploit the consciousness that goes in to all of our design efforts – past, present and future.
